Pre Trip Information
On January 8, 2008 I will be going to Damoh, India for little over nine weeks of service with Mid India Christian Mission. I will be sent by Christ’s Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona where I am currently serving a yearlong internship in the mobilization ministry.
While in India I will be hosted by CCV supported missionaries David and Sheela Lall. I will be working alongside David in several different ministry areas. I will have the opportunity to visit churches throughout central India and build relationships with believers. I will assist David in the different areas of media production, literature production, internet content/organization, and church planting responsibilities. Also, during my trip I will help assist MICM as they host short-term teams from several supporting churches, including one from CCV.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to help facilitate CCV's Missions Weekend and met a lot of missionaries that CCV supports throughout the world. I had several occasions to meet with the Lall's and to finally meet Sheela and their two sons Sharez and Shawn. It was comforting to hear that they are very excited for me to come and stay with them. They already consider me a son as I will living with them as their own sons will be going to school in the states. I am hoping to get David Lall and my missions professor from Manhattan Christian College, Rusty Thornley, together to talk about my Directed Field Experience (DFE) as it pertains to the completion of my degree at MCC.
Overall I am so excited to be able to stay with and serve with David and Sheela for this little over 9 week experience. My first main prayer request is that I can get the prayer support that I am hoping for as I embark on this endevor. It is going to be a huge spiritual battle as I know for sure that Satan does not want me to be in India sharing his love with the people of India. The second prayer request is that God will continue to prepare myself and my family, and girlfriend (Mercedes) for this trip.
